Welcome to Everyday Pearls and Gemstones

At Everyday Pearls & Gemstones we combine genuine saltwater Akoya Pearls with a rainbow of gemstones to create elegant and affordable pearl and gemstone jewelry that can be worn every day and everywhere, from the office to the theater to the grocery store.

Our cultured pearl and gemstone jewelry is colorful, luxurious and distinctive.  Each is a one-of a kind original, hand knotted between each pearl with double silk thread in the traditional manner.  We use semi-precious natural gemstones such as Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Carnelian, Blue Chalcedony, Jade and Lapis Lazuli in our designs as well as classic Cloisonné beads and some man-made gemstones, such as Goldstone and Opalite, when they fill a color niche in our design palate.  We also use natural pink and lavender freshwater pearls as well as Akoya saltwater pearls.

The Pearl Rainbow above is just a sample of our wide range of designs and colors.  Each of our pearl and gemstone necklaces is a one-of-a-kind original design, chosen by you to coordinate with your wardrobe and express your individuality.

Many of our Designer pearl and gemstone necklaces come with matching earrings.  You may also custom order matching earrings for almost any of our pearl and gemstone necklaces for a nominal price (approx. $25).  We will also custom shorten any necklace or change the clasp to a magnetic clasp at no extra charge.  To contact us call 919-266-9475 or email us your request at Everydaypearls@bellsouth.net and please include the necklace part number.

We also offer traditional Akoya and Freshwater Cultured Pearl necklaces at very reasonable prices.  We have Akoya pearl necklaces in a variety of colors including silver and golden cream as well as black and white, and our favorite multicolor pink, lavender and white freshwater pearl necklaces that go beautifully with everything.    We photograph and price each of our Cultured Pearl necklaces individually so you will receive the very same necklace that is in the photo.  All of our Designer Pearls and traditional Cultured Pearl necklaces come in a deluxe red leatherette presentation box at no additional charge.

The Pearl Tooth Test

It may sound like an old wives' tale but it is perfectly true that you can tell a real pearl by rubbing it against your teeth.  If it feels slightly gritty then it is a real pearl.  If it feels perfectly smooth like plastic or glass then that is probably exactly what it is, a "faux pearl".  Naturally, all of our pearls pass the tooth test.
